A Reflection Note

This semester I have studied more about academic writing. This course gave me an opportunity to practice in writing, that is actually a necessary thing in student’s life.

I have learned more about ways of writing an essay. I was able to consult with my groupmates on different important topics, which is in my opinion, very useful to hear what other people think. We were not discussing simple topics, but we were able to speak about culture, art, education, plagiarism, etc. In our classes we could write for and against essays, opinion essays, which is my favorite.

With the help of this course we have improved not only our writing skills, but we have also developed our knowledge of modern world. Besides, we read a lot and broadened our mind, we had a sort of debates on different topics, which were very useful for me. Raising questions and thinking about interesting problems allowed me to make my essays better.

Frankly speaking, I have never practiced writing blogs, that in fact, became a hobby for me. Moreover, I have always avoided commenting somebody’s work. I suppose, it is still my big problem which I must cope with. So, I hope, that I will comment more and be open to air my views.

To sum up, I’d like to say that it was a useful course, but I think it will be better with some practicing on short videos or films commenting.
