Ever-increasing Use of Computer Technology

Nowadays, computer technology became an important part of our lives. We are becoming overwhelmingly dependent on computers, different devices and technology. Is it a right decision to let everything go as it is, or should we be more careful about it?

There are a lot of advantages of computer technology. First of all, it gave us development in different areas, electricity, computers, transport, etc. Since it’s creation computer technology have been always making our life easier. A lot of things are available to use, for example, smart phones, which allows you to connect with other people, take pictures, play games, calculate and even see what your friend is doing.

Secondly, our medicine had been improved. In the past, people who suffered from measles or different disease could just die. People abandoned their hope. In fact, it was an awful situation, when there was an infectious disease. Nowadays, we have found new treatments and remedies with the help of new technologies. I guess, that in the future there will be a treatment for cancer.

Nevertheless, there are disadvantages which we must remember. Ever-increasing use of computer technology may influence badly on your eyesight, back or just the whole health. As it became available and we have such a good thing as the Internet, our lifestyle has changed completely. We are not that active as it was earlier, we depend on our life in the Internet, which is not real, and the communication is not always true.

Moreover, the impact on environment is raising more and more. For example, computers are a source of toxins and carcinogens, that weaken the oxygen and nature. There are variety of factories that bring air pollution, endangered animals, dirty water in seas, rivers and oceans. Citizens are breathing and harm their health, they clean their face, brush their teeth using this “clean” water.

To sum up, I’d like to say that ever-increasing use of computer technologies help our society but can also do harm. As for me, I will be more careful, I’ll save more water and electricity, plant trees and buy more  products in eco-friendly packaging.
